Lunch at Restoran Deen Berjaya, Port Dickson, MALAYSIA (22 Apr 2018)

A bunch of us ex-students of URESS planned a get together lunch. It was suggested that we have 'kari kepala ikan Deen' or Deen's fish head curry at the famous Restoran Deen Berjaya, in the town of Port Dickson.

This restaurant is situated under a big tree along Jalan Dato K. Pathmanaban, in front of the Masjid  Jalan Lama.

Everyone came at around 1 pm on that sunny Sunday. We sat down at Deen's after performing the Zuhur prayer at the mosque behind the restaurant.

What made this a little more special than usual is that we decided to buy our own fresh fish heads from the local fishermen a few days earlier and have the restaurant cook them for us.

Lunch is served

Fish head curry

Fried fish

Crispy fried squid

Stir fried bean sprouts

The freshness of the fish and the deliciousness of Deen's curry really hit the spot. It was a simple but hugely satisfying lunch.

Until we meet again for another round of gather-gether.
